4-Day Gorilla Trekking Uganda & Rwanda

Morning: Arrive at Kigali International Airport in Rwanda. You’ll be greeted by our professional guide and transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. Enjoy the scenic drive through Rwanda’s rolling hills and cross the border into Uganda.

Afternoon: Arrive at your lodge in Bwindi, nestled within the dense forest, and check in. Spend the evening relaxing as you prepare for your first gorilla trekking experience.

Dinner & Overnight: Stay at a safari lodge near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Morning: After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. You’ll then set off into the forest with an experienced guide to track a gorilla family. Trekking can take 2-6 hours depending on the gorillas’ location, but once you find them, you’ll have one hour to observe and photograph these majestic creatures up close.

Afternoon: Return to your lodge for lunch and a well-deserved rest after an exhilarating trek.

Evening: Optional cultural visit to the Batwa pygmy community to learn about their traditional forest life.

Dinner & Overnight: Stay at the same lodge near Bwindi.

Morning: After breakfast, begin your drive to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. Enjoy the scenic journey through the Virunga Mountains and rural landscapes of both Uganda and Rwanda.

Afternoon: Arrive at your lodge near Volcanoes National Park and have lunch. The rest of the day is at leisure, allowing you to rest and prepare for another day of gorilla trekking.

Evening: Relax at the lodge and soak in the surrounding natural beauty.

Dinner & Overnight: Stay at a safari lodge near Volcanoes National Park.

Morning: After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting your second 4-day gorilla Trekking Uganda & Rwanda trek. Volcanoes National Park is known for its diverse terrain, and the trek through bamboo forests and misty mountains is as thrilling as the gorilla encounter itself. Once again, you’ll spend one hour with a gorilla family.

Afternoon: Return to your lodge for lunch before beginning your journey back to Kigali.

Evening: Arrive in Kigali, where you’ll be transferred to the airport for your departure flight or to a hotel if you are extending your stay.
